In 2009, Austal USA employed just over 800 engineers, designers, production and support staff. We now boast over 2,500 employees. 

According to a study performed by Dr. Semoon Chang, Gulf Coast Center for Impact Studies, Austal USA’s unprecedented employment boom has:

• created or supported $383,418,623 in annual wages
• created 14,855 Direct and indirect jobs
• generated $31,081,342 in annual tax revenues
